YPSI and Z4 Bassinets Recall

In cooperation with the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Peg Perego is recalling YPSI and Z4 bassinets manufactured on or after June 23 2022. The recalled bassinets violate the Safe Sleep for Babies Act safety requirements because they were marketed for infant sleep and have an incline angle greater than 10 degrees. The bassinets also do not meet the Infant Sleep Products Rule if purchased without a stroller or stand. The failures pose suffocation and fall hazards, creating an unsafe sleeping environment for infants.

Sold at: Online on Amazon.com, Albeebaby.com, Strolleria.com, and other websites, and at Baby First Furniture and other stores nationwide from July 2022 through April 2023 for about $250.

1. Please verify that your bassinet was manufactured after June 23, 2022, by checking the manufacturing date and model number label.  The manufacture date in YYYY/MM/DD format is in the hood/head area of the bassinet and can be found by lifting the bassinet’s pad/cushion and internal lining. The model number can be found on the same label beneath the date code. The YPSI and Z4 bassinets were sold in the following colors and model numbers:

2)If your bassinet was produced after June 23 2022, and matches one of the above model numbers, please follow the included instructions to disengage the backrest adjustment feature.

3)  Once you removed the backrest strap, please cut the strap and send an email to bassinet@pegperego.com with the following information to receive a $50 cash incentive for removing the backrest feature:

1. 1. Picture of the date code and model number label
   2. Picture of the removed strap, cut in two or more pieces
   3. Your contact information in the following order:
      1. Name
      2. Last Name

      4. Phone number

The bassinet should always be used with either a stroller chassis or bassinet stand. Recall Summary

Name of Product: Children’s riding toy vehicles

Hazard: A relay on the circuit board can fail causing the vehicle’s motor to overheat and ignite, posing fire and burn hazards.

Remedy: Replace, New Instructions
Consumers should immediately stop children from using the recalled toy vehicles and contact Peg Perego to receive a free replacement circuit board with instructions, including shipping. Description: This recall involves Peg Perego’s 850 Polaris Sportsman ride-on, 24-volt battery operated toy vehicles intended for children ages 5 to 7 years. The ATV-style vehicles for two people are silver, red and black and have four wheels, a flip-up backrest for the back passenger and a front and rear luggage rack. Vehicles with date codes 651016, 651017, 651020, 651021, 651022, 651023, 651024, 651027, 651028, 651029, 651030, 660304, 660305, 661123, 661124, 661125 and 661130 are included in this recall. The date code can be found underneath the vehicle seat. Sportsman Twin and 850 EFI appear on the side of the ride-on vehicle and Polaris appears on the side of the vehicle’s seat.

Incidents/Injuries: Peg Perego has received three reports of the children’s ride-on toy vehicles overheating, including one report of a burn.

Sold at: Online retailers including Amazon.com, Cabelas.com, Target.com, ToysRUs.com and Wal-Mart.com from October 2014 through April 2016 for between $500 and $600.
